While preparing a statement of conditions for JCAHO review, Hyman Hayes Associates identified several code deficiencies in the cramped Troy Obstetrics space. This triggered a review of possible space alternatives.
Conceptual design options for the existing space showed that relocation into a larger facility was the best alternative. Hyman Hayes Associates worked with Seton Health System, which owns Troy Pediatrics, to evaluate spaces, assist in lease negotiations, and establish a construction budget once a space was selected. Various conceptual floor plans were developed for the 2,900-sf space. The design selected was able to accommodate existing windows, columns, and duct locations, reducing construction cost.
