The Pathology Department at SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse was scattered throughout the hospital. SUNY Upstate asked Hyman Hayes Associates to look at ways to consolidate the 40,000-sf department and its laboratories, replace outdated clinical pathology labs, and improve departmental flow and function. The report that Hyman Hayes Associates developed provided schematic floor plans, assessed locations, results of a code analysis, and provided a cost analysis of the various floor plan options.
