Hyman Hayes Associates designed the transformation of a former patient space into a new medical/surgical nursing unit, with five double and two single patient rooms. The existing structure complicated the room layouts and required separation of showers in most of the rooms.

A full complement of support services was included in the design, including nurse manager office, exam room, supply room, and nurses' station.
