Kaz, Incorporated, a manufacturer of small household appliances, identified the need to consolidate their office and manufacturing facilities. Hyman Hayes Associates was commissioned to program and design a new $5.4-million, 200,000-sf facility combining office and manufacturing into one building.
The two-story brick corporate office space includes a lobby, cafeteria with patio seating, executive offices, board room, open office areas, locker rooms, and visitor spaces.

Attached to the office is a 170,000-sf manufacturing/ warehouse space. The 1-1/2 story manufacturing area utilizes load-bearing precast tilt-up concrete wall panels. It is configured to provide a separate molding area, production area, warehousing, and 13-bay shipping receiving zone.
The finished complex provides Kaz with a cohesive corporate facility bringing all functions together, providing greater employee amenities and projecting an appropriate corporate image.
