The focus on efficient, sustainable design is a hallmark of Hyman Hayes Associates' work. Even before "green" design and LEED certification became buzzwords or goals, we were designing efficient and energy-conserving spaces.

Today, green design and LEED certification have become pervasive goals of many of our clients. Hyman Hayes Associates is currently a local leader in sustainable design. Nearly 50% of our professional staff are LEED certified.

With several successful green and LEED certified projects completed, Hyman Hayes Associates understands how a client's commitment to green design affects budget, schedule and construction practices.

Our green design projects vary from small wood framed visitors centers to large steel framed office buildings. These projects not only incorporate standard green design features such as low VOC materials, regional materials, and alternative energy systems. They also include out-of-the-box solutions such as vegetable-based hydraulic oil for elevators, educational displays for sustainable design, and finding ways to recycle 100% of construction generated waste.

Our sustainable and LEED-focused projects include:

NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
Warrensburg Regional Headquarters
Stony Kill Education Center
New Paltz Regional Headquarters
Five Rivers Visitors Center
