St. Mary's commissioned Hyman Hayes Associates to design a primary care obstetrics/GYN suite out of 2,600 sf of shell space. The suite was located by the main entry into the OB portion of the Hospital, allowing easy access for patients while keeping physicians near the Labor and Delivery unit.

The space was designed with private exam spaces located at the rear, semi-private areas such as phlebotomy and consult areas in the middle, and reception in the front. The check-out area is located inside the suite and out of the circulation path to ensure privacy.

The suite includes five exam rooms, one larger to allow use as a treatment room, lab and support areas. The design solution accommodated existing conditions such as windows, columns and duct shafts. Finishes were selected to establish a 'feminine' aesthetic.
