Creedmoor Psychiatric Facility Multi-Year Renovation

For this month’s education presentation, Project Manager Jordan Kacur shared insight into one of HHA’s current projects: the multi-year renovation of Creedmoor Psychiatric Facility in Queens, NY.

The 18-story hospital will maintain facility operations throughout construction, requiring careful planning and coordination. Jordan explained the unique challenges of behavioral health projects and how detailed construction phasing can help address facility concerns related to patient safety, staff workflow, and ongoing operations.

One important project strategy includes the use of an exterior hoist system to help reduce disruption to staff and patients by allowing materials and contractors to access the building through a separate route.
